Located in the heart of the Caucasus, Yerevan is a city in full transformation. The capital of Armenia not only boasts being one of the oldest cities in the world, with roots dating back to 782 BC, but is also gaining prominence as a tourist destination.
Overlooking Mount Ararat and offering an increasingly contemporary scene, Yerevan attracts both international visitors and local audiences interested in new experiences.
In this context of growth, the Coba Sky Restaurant has positioned itself as one of the city’s landmarks. Located on the rooftop of the iconic Hotel Dvin, this restaurant combines signature cuisine, cocktail bars, and live music performances. Coba Sky Restaurant features a design inspired by Mayan architecture and a carefully crafted atmosphere in black, gold, and white tones.
Distributed across three main areas plus an outdoor terrace with panoramic views over the city, the venue
hosts live music and dance performances every night, with singers, DJs, and dancers as regular parts of the program.
With an immersive design, carefully planned lighting, and an atmosphere that evolves throughout the night, Coba is much more than a restaurant: it is one of the key spots of Yerevan’s nightlife.
Challenge
The main challenge of the project was to install a sound system capable of adapting to the different ambiences of the restaurant. During dinner, it was necessary to offer a soft, balanced sound that would subtly accompany the dining experience. Later, when the venue took on a more festive tone, the music played a leading role, and the systems had to deliver clarity, impact, and uniform coverage.
In addition, the restaurant had a very carefully designed interior, so the equipment had to visually blend in without drawing attention. The installation also required meticulous technical planning due to the layout of the venue: several connected rooms, open terraces, and different uses for each area.
Solution
The solution was developed by Four Stage, an Armenian company specialized in supplying and installing
professional audio systems. Their intervention took into account the specific characteristics of each area of the restaurant, ensuring excellent sound quality and seamless integration with the environment.
In the main hall, where both dinners and shows and DJ sessions are held, ten VANTEC-20A units were combined with six VANTEC-118A subwoofers, configuring a powerful and versatile system. The curved sources of the VANTEC series were installed on the second level of the stage, ensuring uniform coverage both in the seating area and on the dance floor. In addition, two ARTEC-510A units were added as front-fills in an L/R configuration to complete the overall coverage of the main hall.
The bar hall, with a more relaxed atmosphere, combined four ARTEC-510A units with four Q-10A subwoofers. The latter, from the QUANTUM series, provided a very discreet visual result and performance suitable for a multipurpose space.

In the ceremony hall, designed for private events and celebrations, the same solution as in the bar hall was implemented, with four ARTEC-510A units and four Q-10A units. This configuration properly covered the space while maintaining minimal visual presence of the systems.
On each of the two terraces, four ARTEC-510 systems were installed. Additionally, Coba Sky Restaurant has four balconies, each equipped with another two ARTEC-510 systems.
Thanks to this installation, the sound system effectively responded to the different ambiences of the restaurant, guaranteeing a high-quality listening experience while respecting the architectural design of the space.
Conclusion
The installation carried out at Coba Sky Restaurant by Four Stage has helped consolidate this venue as one of the most exclusive destinations in Yerevan’s nightlife.
The versatility of the installed systems allowed easy adaptation to different ambiences. In addition, the project was executed with meticulous aesthetic integration, respecting the venue’s architecture and maintaining a consistent visual style in all areas.
Thanks to this solution, the sound accompanies the rhythm of the venue coherently, from the first guests of the evening to the last show on stage.
