The swiss army knife of broadcast: MultiDyne presents VersaBrix at IBC2025

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems returns to IBC with updates to its VersaBrix (VB) Series, its rugged and modular fiber-optic transport platform used by broadcast and live production professionals around the world.

Designed for field, flypack, and permanent installations, the VersaBrix Series can easily handle 12G/3G/HD-SDI to HDMI 2.0, analog/digital audio, Ethernet (1/10GbE), intercom, tally, genlock, timecode, and more (all uncompressed and with near-zero latency), impressively over a single strand of fiber. From extending PTZ and POV cameras to moving bulk signals across a truck or venue over fiber, VersaBrix delivers maximum reliability and flexibility.

New to the series is a sleek all-white chassis option for all four VersaBrix form factors, available in two, four, six, and ten-slot versions. These clean, modern enclosures, which can be seen at the stand, are ideal for studio installs or any environment where gear is visible on camera.

VersaBrix is a Swiss Army knife for signal transport. You can move up to 18x 12G-SDI or 9x 10GbE signals over a single fiber without touching compression. And with new features like PoE++, HDMI 2.0, and our modular customization tool, it’s now easier than ever to determine the exact system you need, whether you’re in a truck, on a campus, or anywhere that requires live broadcast, said Jesse Foster, Director of Strategic Accounts and Products at MultiDyne.

With its compact 1RU design and shallow 7¼-inch chassis depth, VersaBrix fits perfectly in smaller environments such as OB trucks and flypacks. It also saves time in temporary setups where copper cabling isn’t feasible, making deployment easier without sacrificing performance.

VersaBrix supports seamless integration with CCUs, routers, and switchers, and can be used with standard single-mode fiber or SMPTE hybrid cable. Its low-voltage, rack-friendly operation with remote power over fiber makes it a smart and reliable choice for professionals managing live sports, concerts, productions, and operations in broadcast studios.
