Communication needs in audiovisual and broadcast environments are evolving towards increasingly flexible and mobile systems. In line with this trend, AEQ highlighted at ISE 2026 its wireless intercom solution, the XPLORER MAX beltpack.
XPLORER MAX is a wireless intercom beltpack that uses high-performance digital radio in the 5 GHz band, delivering clear and stable communications in any working environment, whether indoor or outdoor, centralized or distributed.
Its design incorporates programmable keys and a multifunction display, providing users with the standard functionality of an intercom panel in a compact and portable format, especially suited for operators and technicians who need to move around during production.
One of the most notable aspects of XPLORER MAX is its flexibility of use. The system can be integrated into matrix-based intercom infrastructures, working with AEQ solutions, which facilitates its deployment in large AV and broadcast installations. At the same time, it can operate without a matrix, forming part of XPEAK-based systems or Party-Line configurations. In addition, it offers extensive coverage, as a single antenna can cover up to 600 metres.
Within AEQ’s intercom systems, the XPEAK system, with its innovative distributed virtual matrix architecture and plug-and-play philosophy, simplifies installation and enables real-time communication between local and remote users, using beltpacks, physical panels or software solutions.
At this edition of ISE 2026, AEQ also presented its new developments in audio and communications. Among them were Forum IP PLUS, the new digital audio console for radio production and broadcasting environments, featuring native IP connectivity, modular architecture and advanced signal control over AoIP networks, and Systel MAX, the evolution of its professional communications platform, designed for advanced call management, intercom and multi-conferencing over IP. Systel MAX expands integration possibilities with AV and broadcast environments, corporate PBXs and VoIP services, offering greater capacity, scalability and control in complex communication systems.
Visitors to ISE 2026 were able to learn in detail about XPLORER MAX and the rest of the intercom solutions, as well as other AEQ innovations at the stand, where live demonstrations were carried out and real-world applications across different professional environments were showcased.
With this proposal, AEQ reinforced its positioning as a provider of communication solutions tailored to the current needs of the audiovisual and broadcast sector, combining mobility, IP integration, remote production and operational control within a single ecosystem.
