Zero Density advances the creation of interoperable HTML5 graphics with OGraf Studio

The open-source, browser-based suite expands the tools available for creating HTML5 broadcast graphics templates compatible with the EBU OGraf standard, allowing designs to be transferred between compatible systems without being tied to a single vendor.

OGraf Studio, the open-source, browser-based HTML5 graphics suite developed by Zero Density around the EBU OGraf standard, has received TVBEurope's Best of Show Award at IBC2026, where it was officially unveiled.

The tool was subsequently showcased at NAB Show New York 2026.

The award recognises its contribution to the development of more open and interoperable HTML5 broadcast graphics workflows, reflecting growing industry interest in tools that make it easier to create graphics in environments combining solutions from different vendors.

A visual workspace for on-air graphics

Designed for graphics professionals and production teams working in news, sports and live broadcasting, OGraf Studio provides a visual workspace for creating lower thirds, sports scoreboards, tickers and full-screen television graphics.

The tool combines layer-based design features with customisable animations, shaders and visual effects.

Data-driven text, Lottie support and SVG file import allow designs to be developed as reusable templates for a wide range of on-air graphics applications.

From design to playout preparation

The suite brings creative control and graphics preparation for broadcast into a single workflow.

Users can define how graphics appear on screen, how they are updated and how they disappear, as well as coordinate multiple elements in both real-time workflows and non-linear editing processes.

Built-in validation and export tools prepare content for OGraf-compatible systems, giving broadcasters the flexibility to reuse designs and transfer graphics between different compatible platforms.

Open source and continuous development

The tool continues to receive new features and enhancements as Zero Density expands its browser-based approach to creating HTML5 graphics in accordance with the EBU OGraf standard.

The company is also known for its Reality 5 virtual production platform, Traxis tracking platform and EVO Engine processing hardware, used by broadcasters including ABC, CBS, Charter Communications, FOX, The Weather Channel and Univision.
