The Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB), managed by Fira Barcelona, is a reference space for organizing events at a European level. Since its creation in 2004, it has stood out for the great architectural value, dimensions, multifunctionality, and brightness of its two buildings, the Convention Center and the CCIB Auditori Fòrum.
Specifically, the Auditori Fòrum, with a capacity for 3,084 people and a stage of 420 m², has undergone a process of renovation of its lighting to address the need for modernization and changes in the wattage consumption of its lighting system.
This updating and innovation project has been led by Carlos Gabriel Alvira González (Kalogra), the lighting manager at CCIB.

After analyzing the presented needs and conducting tests with a total of eight lighting devices from different brands, Kalogra did not hesitate to choose the exclusive T11 Profile from Robe, a brand represented by EARPRO&EES in Spain and Portugal.
Its 350W multispectral LED light source, the revolutionary TETM (Transferable Engine) technology, the interchangeable front lens system to quickly switch to a Fresnel or PC, and its design to operate in any noise-sensitive environment make the T11 Profile a cost-effective solution with total flexibility and excellent optical quality. Of these numerous virtues, Kalogra has highlighted “its light quality, manual zoom of 5°- 50°, and great versatility and adaptability”.
A total of 30 units have been placed within trenches as stage front lights, projecting at a distance of 25 meters to the center of the stage, achieving a 76% reduction in electricity consumption compared to the previous tungsten installation.

Kalogra has expressed great satisfaction with the result, considering it “a true success to acquire the T11. Both the technical team and the lighting designers who have worked at the Fòrum are delighted. We hope they last us for many years”.
Since their installation, the T11 Profiles have illuminated numerous congresses, conventions, and shows held at the Auditori Fòrum, exhibiting a spectacular performance.
