Claypaky Ultimo Sharpy fixtures, added to Scène de Nuit’s lighting inventory in 2025, have become a key element of the Dystopia Festival’s visual identity.
Following their successful debut, the fixtures were used across the 2025 and 2026 editions, accompanying the festival on its journey through several cities, from Saint-Étienne and Mulhouse to the grand finale in Rennes.
Dedicated to hard music and techno, Dystopia Festival brings together around 40 artists across two stages, each featuring its own creative concept. Designed to deliver fully immersive experiences, the stages incorporate custom-built scenic elements developed in the Netherlands, where the original Dystopia concept was born.

Within this striking production, Ultimo Sharpy played a key role in creating the festival’s dynamic lighting design. Thanks to their exceptional light output, ultra-fast movements and wide range of effects, the fixtures delivered the intensity, precision and versatility required to enhance every performance.
The project demonstrated Ultimo Sharpy’s ability to excel in demanding, large-scale outdoor productions, where creative freedom, reliability and high-impact lighting were essential.
The Scène de Nuit team immediately recognised the advantages offered by the fixtures.

We chose Ultimo Sharpy because it meets all our performance requirements. Its IP66 rating is a major advantage for outdoor events. From a technical perspective, it delivers smooth, fast and precise movements. Its light output is exceptional, with excellent brightness, impressive luminous flux and highly accurate colour reproduction. In addition, its optimised size-to-weight ratio makes transportation, rigging and installation easier, the team commented.
The positive response continued throughout the festival season.
The feedback has been outstanding. Both our technicians and the production companies that rent these fixtures highlight their reliability and on-site performance. It is premium equipment that has become one of our preferred solutions and that we use with complete confidence across numerous productions, the team added.
