Emelec revolutionizes PTZ camera control with its new all-in-one cable

Emelec presents a new cable specially designed for PTZ camera control, where the transmission of an SDI video signal along with a network signal for control is required.

The cable is composed of an SDI Q11-3006 cable and a Category 6 SF/UTP 4x2x23AWG cable within a global PVC jacket. The conductors are oxygen-free copper, and both cables feature double shielding with aluminum foil and a tinned copper braid. The jackets are black, as is the outer jacket.

For PTZ Camera Use

Many different PTZ camera models exist, with varied features such as resolution, video format, compatible connector types, zoom capacity, among others.

emelec control 5 HIHowever, they all share the ability to rotate on both a vertical and horizontal axis, allowing users to control the camera's movement in all directions and zoom in or out in zoom-capable models.

Currently, the latest digital models available on the market include IP options for remote image reception and camera control via an IP joystick.

For this, both an SDI video cable and a LAN cable are necessary, which is where our new Q16-6040 cable stands out.

With a single Q16-6040 cable, it is possible to transmit both the SDI and LAN signals in one run without needing separate cables for each purpose.

Additionally, the Q16-6040 cable is compatible with cameras that support PoE (Power over Ethernet).
