Digital Projection has created a completely new set of software solutions that allows users to design and implement an entire installation, all from the company's custom software platforms.
Thanks to the Nexus electronic platform, users can now benefit from automatic projector calibration, including advanced alignment, curvature, and blending tools, without the need for external applications. This precise pixel-level blending and curvature are done directly in the projector hardware, something entirely unique to Digital Projection, providing the most accurate curvature in the market, seamlessly integrated not only in the projectors but also with export functionality.
The set of solutions is divided into two independent areas: pre-installation tools, for users' design needs, and installation tools, which help them achieve their goal.
Design tools during pre-installation
When a user looks for applications for a complex design with multiple projectors, they need the Multi Projection Simulator Pro option. Used internally by Digital Projection staff and now released to the market, the Multi Projection Simulator Pro option offers users the ability to design and implement their environments entirely from Digital Projection's set of solutions. With advanced features such as the automatic design assistant, situation simulation, and 3D object import, Multi Projection Simulator Pro is one of the most robust projection design tools on the market today.
Installation tools
The latest version of Digital Projection's Projector Controller II software incorporates the ability to automatically align, blend, and curve multiple projectors using a camera. Projector Controller II interacts directly with Nexus, Digital Projection's new electronic platform, eliminating the need for external auto-calibration software.

Projector Controller II allows the management of multiple projectors from a single centralized PC-based application. It is ideal for use in large installations or when projectors are located in various locations within a building, drastically reducing the time needed for installation and configuration. With the free complementary program for Projector Controller II Smart Align, users can quickly align and color blend their projectors using only their smartphone.
For more complex applications, Advanced Align (a paid solution with a 30-day free trial version) uses all the functions of the Nexus chip to offer users an advanced calibration solution, including 2D and 3D content maps, curvature, and blending, and full integration with media servers and presentation switchers, through the projector hardware. With Advanced Align, the curvature/blending is done in the projector hardware to offer the most precise pixel-based blending. This reduces the back projection on the server, eliminating the need for expensive third-party image generators. Additionally, the result is uncompressed when auto-calibration and curvature/blending are done from the projector hardware, unlike the inferior compressed result from a computer's graphics card.

While other similar products only refer to the curvature of each individual projector, Advanced Align captures the entire screen and offers edge blending and content distribution with the highest precision across multiple projectors, all from within the projectors, minimizing latency while ensuring optimal image quality.
With technology from the new Nexus electronic platform
Designed to offer the most advanced image processing in all Digital Projection products, from the iconic 3-Chip DLP TITAN Laser 47000 projector to the economical 1-Chip E-Vision 8000i, Nexus provides users with enhanced multi-functional image processing technology, including de-interlacing, scaling, curvature, and edge blending, all combined in a single chip. This way, signal processing is done in a single location, minimizing delays that would generate latency.
Nexus also supports HDR (SMPTE ST2084(PQ) and HLG) and Art-Net, 10-bit color processing (30 bits per pixel), and integrated image quality control, managing the full color gamut. It is also crucial for its ability to accept dual input signals up to 4K-UHD; these are processed independently, allowing it to accept most advanced signals in a chain.
The Nexus platform is currently available in the TITAN Laser 47000 WUXGA and 41000 4K-UHD, M-Vision 27000 WU and 24000 WU, and E-Vision 16000i, 10000i WU, and 8000i WU, with new projectors to be added in the coming months.
