Robe made a strong and vibrant impression and launched its highly anticipated new GigaPointe® luminaire at ISE 2026, where it also presented a live show and several technical innovations on its stand.
GigaPointe is powered by a 350W white phosphor laser source and features an advanced LSW-3™ engine delivering an impressive output of more than 4,000,000 lx at 5 metres — a fixture designed to take creative lighting to new levels of possibility.
Robe’s stand — its largest ever at an ISE event — had a prominent presence in Hall 6 at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, which buzzed with excitement at the heart of the four-day show, generating energy and enthusiasm around the latest entertainment lighting technologies.
This year, Robe staged a full live production show at ISE: Excalibur - The Lights of the Round Table, following the success of an initial live performance concept in 2025. At ISE 2026, the second variant of Excalibur was presented — a dramatic, high-intensity themed show starring acrobat Oskar Skrypko, accompanied by two dancers and Pauline, an industrial robot.
The GigaPointe fixtures were central to the lighting and production design of Excalibur, and Robe’s entire live experience attracted large crowds to the stand, generating interest not only in this launch but also in the other new Robe technologies on display and available for closer examination in two demo areas. In addition to GigaPointe, Robe introduced two further products: the T10 PC and T10 Fresnel luminaires, the latest additions to its award-winning T-Series of theatrical fixtures.
Robe’s stand also highlighted the energy, synergy and integration of its other brands and businesses — Anolis, Avolites, LSC Control Systems and Artistic Licence — which showcased their latest and smartest products.
GigaPointe: impact anywhere, anytime
GigaPointe® is a versatile, multifunctional IP65-rated moving head, engineered to deliver optimal performance combined with extraordinary output, dynamic high-contrast effects and fast, precise movement, ready to transform any space into a spectacular environment. It is ideal for all types of shows, events and lighting art, from large-scale musicals to concert tours, music shows and major dance events.
Powered by Robe’s advanced LSW-3™ engine and a 350W white phosphor laser source, GigaPointe produces an extreme contrast beam with outstanding projection qualities and striking visual impact.
The 150 mm front lens is highly attractive in itself, and its precision optics create flat-field beams, dynamic shapes and stunning effects.
GigaPointe offers beam modes from 1.8° to 21° and spot modes from 3° to 42°, automatically adjusting according to the selected effects. Beam reducers and 1° and 5° frost filters add even greater versatility, from tightly focused aerial beams to softer, subtler washes.
GigaPointe features CMY colour mixing, a 13-colour dichroic wheel and the virtual DataSwatch library with 66 pre-programmed colours, including essential whites, deep saturates and refined pastels.
Its extensive effects package includes static and rotating gobo wheels, as well as the patented SpektraBeam engine, designed to deliver unique lighting experiences. The stackable multi-level MLP prisms offer independent speed and directional control for added depth, while the 540° pan indexing range helps ensure every show is memorable and packed with genuine WOW factors.
GigaPointe incorporates numerous patented technologies from Robe, including GLINT™ (GigaPointe Light Intensity Technology), which helps generate that impressive light intensity, incredible beam sharpness, a truly flat field, contrast and vivid gobo projection at any optical setting.

New products
The T10 PC and T10 Fresnel luminaires were also introduced at ISE. Their compact design makes them ideal for smaller theatres, studios and spaces, while retaining the features and benefits of the larger T11 PC/Fresnel models, including a smooth, softer beam and excellent performance and value.
The outstanding colour finesse of the T-Series is maintained through the MSL™ (Multi-Spectral Light) additive colour mixing concept combined with the innovative Robe TE™ (TRANSFERABLE ENGINE) technology, while the 200W MSL-TE™ LED engine delivers more than 10,500 lm, along with all the advantages of cost-saving, exchange or replacement.
The T-Series LED technology provides identical colour characteristics, responses and control across its luminaires, ensuring absolute colour consistency in a Robe installation. It includes a virtually controlled CCT range from 2,700K to 8,000K (extended range 1,800K – 10,000K), a set of calibrated whites and authentic tungsten emulation for ultra-precise control.
‘Excalibur’ – Part 2
Robe’s latest live production, a frenetic 9-minute show, captivated audiences throughout the exhibition, running five times a day.
Imagined and produced by the in-house creative team led by Nathan Wan and Andy Webb, Excalibur was an electrifying megamix of lighting genres and styles combined with dance and acrobatics, powerful music, strong narrative and gravity-defying performances, showcasing Robe’s latest technologies in the environment for which they were created.
Excalibur reflected the importance and relevance of ISE as a global industry hub and international meeting point, underlining Robe’s commitment to creating these unique exhibition experiences while demonstrating the products in action.
As expected, the new GigaPointe was the star of the show. Twenty-four of these newly launched fixtures were positioned centre stage, rigged on four vertical trusses upstage, forming a 6 x 4 matrix-style wall of light that played a prominent role throughout the performance.
The GigaPointes were used for spot and beam effects as well as eye-candy, skillfully demonstrating how the phosphor engine combined with prisms can create fantastic in-camera effects without beams pointing too directly at the audience.
Nathan particularly appreciates many GigaPointe features, including the beam quality, which remains perfectly parallel with no divergence, crisp and clean, and its increased versatility thanks to the power of the light source.
The fixtures were deployed not only to place them literally centre stage, but also to illustrate how they could hold their own among the other luminaires onstage, which totalled more than 250 in a compact area, including eight iBOLTs. Other fixtures used in the show included the full series of iFORTE LTX, iESPRITE LTL and iPAINTE LTM luminaires; T10 and T11, Tetra2, FOOTSIE2, SVB1 on 4-bars, SVOPATT Classic and PAINTE Fresnel.
Nathan maximised the SVB1 fixtures — a favourite adaptable compact unit — which were highly visible in the middle section of the show as sparkling egg-strobe effects, layered to accent musical beats and rhythms while retaining the base colour. Pixel control over the display screen added another layer of sparkle when required.
Three iESPRITE LTL units were used as follow spots — one for each performer — running on three RoboSpot systems and operated by students selected from different countries as part of Robe’s NRG – Next Robe Generation educational initiative. Six students from Germany, the UK, Lithuania and Belgium joined Robe at the show through an open call. In addition to operating the RoboSpots and assisting in the NRG section of the stand, it was an ideal opportunity to network, learn and gain valuable experience at a key and busy industry event.
Excalibur was programmed and operated on an Avolites D9-215 console. Challenges included working with a fully ground-supported rig and the usual time pressures of a trade show, but thorough planning and pre-visualisation ensured the ambitious show ran smoothly.
The show’s scenography, video content and costumes were also designed and produced by Robe’s creative team, working alongside a choreographer and Oskar Skrypko, who developed his own movements together with Pauline, created by Ulik Robotic Shows and managed by Ulrich Kahlert.
Although this was the first time Robe produced a full live show experience at ISE, the interest, excitement and engagement it generated suggest it will certainly not be the last.
