CHAUVET Professional has introduced a new fixture within its STRIKE range, called STRIKE Array Ultra, expanding the possibilities of this family of luminaires.
This unit, built around a single LED module with a halo ring, not only delivers high light output but also enables a wide variety of visual effects. At the center of the STRIKE Array Ultra is a high-output LED surrounded by a 120-LED RGB ring, providing two distinct visual layers within a single fixture.
In terms of output, this IP65-rated blinder delivers very high intensity suitable for large venues, thanks to its RGBA-WW color engine and distinctive RGB ring. It also features high-CRI calibrated whites and an optional filter that improves skin tone rendering and on-camera color, along with dimming optimized for broadcast environments.
When it comes to design possibilities, the STRIKE Array Ultra stands out for its flexibility. Its mounting system allows for easy vertical or horizontal configuration, and it can be combined with other fixtures in the STRIKE family, including the STRIKE Bolt 1C, to create more complex setups.
This makes it possible to build fully customizable LED blinder walls. For example, a vertical stack of STRIKE Array Ultra units can be paired with horizontal rows of STRIKE Array 2C and STRIKE Array 4C fixtures. Alternatively, a design can feature a horizontal wall alternating STRIKE Array Ultra and STRIKE Array 4C units. The design possibilities are virtually endless.
Adding to its versatility, the STRIKE Array Ultra features motorized pan; when the fixture is inverted, this becomes motorized tilt. Different units within the same structure can pan or tilt independently, increasing variation in stage looks. Additional features include an electronic strobe rate from 0 to 30 Hz, standalone color mixing, four dimming modes, four dimming curves, built-in automated programs, and a stealth filter.
Measuring 19.13 x 17.79 x 11.02 inches (486 x 452 x 280 mm) and finished in a sleek black housing, the STRIKE Array Ultra integrates well into rigs even when not in use.
Given the range of ways this versatile fixture can enhance a design, it is likely to be used frequently in a wide variety of setups.
