TWYN redefines the dual-face moving head concept with a combined output of 39,200 lumens

GLP has introduced TWYN, a new dual-face moving head that combines the capabilities of two of the company’s most successful platforms, Creos and JDC Burst 1, into a single motorised system.

By combining a high-output RGBL wash with a hybrid strobe, TWYN offers a new approach to lighting design while reducing the number of fixtures required.

TWYN generated significant interest during its debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona. Its dual-face design integrates two independent lighting systems into a single compact fixture. The wash side is built around a 3x3 lens array featuring nine 40W RGBL LEDs, identical to those used in GLP’s X5 Series and Creos, with a zoom range from 4° to 53°. It delivers homogeneous washes with consistent colour mixing throughout the zoom range, an output of up to 4,060 lumens and a CRI above 85. The opposite face is configured as a hybrid strobe inspired by the design of the JDC Burst 1. Thirty-six high-intensity white LEDs generate a broad and even strobe effect with an output of up to 22,800 lumens. These are complemented by 480 RGBW LEDs arranged in the surrounding segments, providing dynamic visual effects and vivid colour accents with outputs of up to 12,400 lumens.

TWYN’s full potential is realised when both faces are used simultaneously. While one side operates as a beam or strobe, the other can illuminate surfaces, backdrops or structures in parallel, creating more complex lighting designs and multiple visual layers from a single unit, without the need for additional fixtures. Continuous pan and tilt rotation enables smooth transitions and dynamic movement throughout its operating range.

The fixture not only reduces the number of units required in a setup, but also simplifies planning, logistics and installation. By integrating multiple functions into a single fixture, investment costs are reduced, truss space is optimised and suspended load requirements are minimised. Weighing just 16 kg, TWYN remains compact and easy to deploy, making it suitable for touring productions, clubs and mobile events.

TWYN also shares the same pixel and segmentation structure as Creos and JDC Burst 1. This allows existing designs based on these fixtures to be expanded seamlessly while maintaining visual and mapping consistency across different fixture types within the same rig.

Colour consistency is ensured through GLP’s iQ.Gamut technology, which guarantees stable colours and intensities at defined white points, delivering both high-quality pastel tones and highly saturated primary colours calibrated to match those of Creos and the X5 Series.

TWYN can be used as a floor-standing fixture or mounted vertically or horizontally on truss, thanks to its two integrated Camlock pairs that enable fast and flexible rigging. Each unit is supplied with the GLP DRX Dual Sleeve, capable of accommodating up to six fixtures in a standard flight case and streamlining deployment.

Its IP65-rated housing protects the fixture against rain, dust, dirt, haze fluid and confetti, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The fixture operates within an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +45°C.

On European mains power, up to four units can be daisy-chained via PowerCON True1 connectors. In addition, GLP iQ.Mesh and the iQ.Service App enable wireless firmware updates, device status monitoring and advanced service, configuration and control functions.

With TWYN, we have created a fixture that perfectly meets the demand for maximum creativity with minimal technical overhead. The combination of Creos and JDC Burst 1 in a compact, weatherproof fixture delivers unprecedented flexibility and cost-effectiveness for events of any scale, says Udo Künzler, Managing Director of GLP.

GLP has confirmed that TWYN is already in production and that the first units are now being shipped.
