In 2025, Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires carried out a major upgrade of its technical equipment, incorporating two new DiGiCo Quantum consoles: the Quantum 5 and the Quantum 338, supplied by MAHLER Group.
To support this investment, the sound team also acquired additional DMI cards to expand network connectivity. This investment will consolidate the venue’s position as a must-stop destination for international touring artists such as Kylie Minogue, who performed in August 2025, as well as for residencies by Argentina’s leading stars.
Movistar Arena Argentina is a 15,000-capacity indoor venue. Opened in 2019, it is located in the cultural hub of Villa Crespo, an area renowned for its dance halls, artists and poets. It is one of Argentina’s premier music venues, and the arena takes particular pride in its spectacular sound system.
Walter Logarzo, Marketing Manager at EQUAPHON, was enthusiastic about being part of the team responsible for configuring the installation. The company is DiGiCo’s distributor in Argentina and has supported numerous large-scale installations across the region, including stadiums and high-end venues.
The installation at Movistar Arena was a true milestone for Argentina, delivering the power of the Quantum consoles along with the interoperability of multiple DMI cards, ensuring the venue is prepared for any requirement.

The Quantum consoles bring the power of DiGiCo’s FPGA platform to Movistar Arena. The upgrade not only delivers a superior sound experience for audiences, but also optimises operational flexibility, benefiting artists and engineers alike. The consoles are connected via three 32-bit SD-Racks and one 32-bit SD-MiNi Rack. They are also equipped with a full complement of DiGiCo DMI interfaces, including two MADI C cards, two Dante cards and two AES/EBU cards, optimising connectivity across multiple network protocols.
As Logarzo notes, the decision to purchase DiGiCo was a carefully considered choice by the venue, one that will not only keep it up to date for international artists, but also future-proof the audio setup, ensuring a return on investment for years to come.
