The 23rd edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou concludes, solidifying itself as one of the leading international gatherings in the entertainment and professional AV technology sector. The event brought together 2,209 exhibitors across a total of 210,000 m², spread over 22 themed pavilions in Areas A, B, and D of the Canton Fairgrounds.
The fair’s growth has been accompanied by a thematic expansion. The new Area D hosted entertainment solutions, KTV equipment, and, for the first time, a pavilion specifically for professional audio accessories and components. The fair also included specialized zones by segment: Area A focused on professional audio, conferences, and multimedia; Area B on stage lighting, immersive technology, and stage machinery.

Product launches and presence of key brands
As in previous editions, numerous brands took the opportunity to showcase new products, among them Bosch, Shure, Harman, d&b audiotechnik, Neutrik, Nightsun, DSPPA, Takstar, and SE Audiotechnik, along with a notable contingent of local manufacturers. The variety of exhibitors provided a representative overview of trends in the Asian and global markets.
Parallel activities and technological focus
More than a hundred activities took place within the technical program. Highlighted was the IFTT 2025 The Sound conference, where the 3D audio technology “Audio Vivid,” developed in China, was presented. There were also presentations focused on AI applied to professional AV, as well as discussions on sustainability in the performing arts.

Immersive experiences and technical demonstrations
The fair included several immersive stage installations. The production Peak Shock: Return from Journey to the West, inspired by the classic Chinese novel, combined visual effects and lighting design. At the same time, the fifth anniversary of the PLS Unicorn series was celebrated and the virtual reality experience Time Travel to Yuanmingyuan was presented, in collaboration with Chinese cultural institutions.
On the technical side, visitors were able to directly evaluate equipment in the production and recording area (balconies of pavilions 2.2 and 3.2) and in the outdoor line array system demonstrations, spread across three external zones.

International participation
The event featured the presence of 59 buyer delegations, both local and international. A technical training session was also held for stage professionals from Arab countries, as part of the
collaboration between the fair and the Yinchuan Stage Design Association.
Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2025 was organized by Messe Frankfurt together with Guangdong International Science and Technology Exhibition Co Ltd (STE).
