The AVIXA Congress brought together Ibero-American voices from the AV industry at ISE Barcelona

AVIXA announced a new edition of its AVIXA Congress. The event featured a programme entirely in Spanish and brought together more than thirty experts from Latin America and Spain, consolidating its position as a benchmark forum for the Ibero-American audiovisual industry.

The Congress took place from Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 February, from 15:00 to 18:00, in room CC5.2 at Fira Barcelona. The 12 sessions, each lasting 40 minutes, were free of charge for professionals registered for ISE.

This year’s agenda addressed the most relevant topics in AV integration, with special attention to the convergence between technology and the human experience. The Congress included presentations and interactive panels analysing the main trends in the sector.

On Tuesday 3 February, the panel Film, entertainment and advertising: virtual production in all formats took place, featuring Isaac Bergadà (Virtual Group Mediapro), Antoine Vaxelaire (APPIA), Xavi Cánovas (Driving Studios) and Cristina Brandner (Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya). They discussed how virtual production with LED stages removes barriers in the audiovisual industry and offers scalable solutions for broadcasters, advertisers and independent creators. The session Smart Workspaces: technology, AI and the new language of collaboration brought together Montse Romero (Arthur Holm), Felipe Henao (Zoom), Miquel Geeraerd (Jabra) and Ana María Restrepo (AVIXA) to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming work environments, making them more intuitive and people-centred.

He explained the importance of developing skills in System & Design Thinking and User Journey analysis, emphasising that professional value lies both in technical competencies and in the ability to identify patterns and needs within workflows and communities.

The AVIXA Congress also served as the forum for the presentation of the First Audiovisual Robotics Report 2026. The Clúster Audiovisual de Catalunya presented a trend analysis on robotics applied to the audiovisual sector, with 3Cat participating to showcase outstanding use cases. This edition of the AVIXA Congress was sponsored by Riedel and Ross Video.
