AVIXA drove an expanded programme at ISE 2026 focused on AI and sustainability

At ISE 2026, attendees had access to the most extensive content programme ever offered by the show. It addressed key topics in the professional audiovisual industry, ranging from artificial intelligence to sustainability and Broadcast AV.

Six half-day Summits, produced — as in the previous three years — by AVIXA, co-owner of ISE, explored strategic industry issues in depth. In addition, as a new feature this year, the Megatrends programme offered a more flexible way to examine the most relevant challenges.

ISE brought together a wide range of audiovisual professionals from around the world; each attendee has different interests and objectives for their show experience. In developing the content programme with AVIXA and other partners, we used different formats and levels of depth to meet those needs. For example, the Megatrends programme was created in response to the demand for concise assessments of rapidly evolving trends, with the flexibility to move in and out between other show activities. Individual sessions lasted between 20 and 40 minutes and highlighted key developments in AI, cybersecurity, robotics, smart spaces, sustainability and TradeScape (regulation and tariffs), explained Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events.

The Megatrends ticket, priced at €99, provided access to the Megatrends auditorium during the days of the event. Sessions took place throughout the show and seating was allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, attendees had access to the content for two weeks after the event to rewatch the sessions.

Among the leading Megatrends speakers were Karsten Marijnissen (Incentro), who delivered a masterclass on how to successfully adopt agentic AI in business; Rich Mulholland (Missing Link), who shared how professionals can help their teams stand out by embracing emerging technologies; and Marjolein Koens-Schadalee, who explained how to achieve measurable return on investment through sustainability-driven smart space design.

The six half-day Summits offered in-depth analysis on cybersecurity, control rooms, smart buildings, broadcast AV, digital signage and education technology. These sessions included real-world case studies, innovative strategies and expert-led discussions.

Individual passes for each Summit were available for €440, while the All-Conference Pass (€1,150) provided access to all Summits, Megatrends sessions, the Smart Home Technology Conference and the Business Forums.

AVIXA members received a 30% discount on both individual passes and the All-Conference Pass. To obtain it, they were required to use the same email address for ISE registration as for their AVIXA account.

In addition, CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) and ANP (Audiovisual Network Professional) renewal units were awarded for a selection of Summit and Megatrends sessions. Attendees were advised to consult the list of approved sessions. ISE also expanded its Show Floor Tours programme this year, priced at €99.

One of the most frequent comments, especially from first-time attendees, was the need for more support in navigating the show. For this reason, this year’s tour programme was the most extensive to date, with daily routes such as ‘New to ISE’ and ‘Megatrends’, as well as guided tours focused on education technology, broadcast AV, and two off-site tours dedicated to cybersecurity and control rooms, added Blackman.
