Michel Malbranc joined GLP Germany's sales team on 1 July 2026. As Sales Manager for North-East Germany, he is responsible in particular for the eastern federal states, a region he knows well, along with many of the companies based there, thanks to his previous industry experience.
Malbranc studied sound engineering and music production and has spent much of his career working in the German events industry. His background combines commercial expertise with a strong technical foundation.
For him, a product is not judged solely by its performance. What really matters is how the technology is used in practice, what demands each application places on it, and which solution best meets the real needs of each customer.
I'm really looking forward to seeing familiar faces again and making new contacts. I don't want to sit behind a desk guessing what a customer might need. I want to visit their facilities, see how they work, understand the challenges they face and find out what the technology really needs to deliver. When it comes to products that require explanation, it's essential to experience them live. So it's very simple: give me a call, tell me what you're interested in, and I'll come by with the right products, says Michel Malbranc.
Alongside GLP's product portfolio, it was the conversations with Managing Director Udo Künzler that ultimately convinced Malbranc to join the company. "Of course, the excellent products appealed to me. But what really made the difference was the openness and sincerity of my conversations with Udo", explains Malbranc. "From the very beginning, I had the feeling that at GLP it's not just the numbers and the products that matter, but also the people behind them. At the same time, the portfolio offers exactly the kind of technical solutions I can recommend to my customers with complete confidence".
For GLP, this appointment represents another step in strengthening its presence across the region.
Michel brings together a valuable combination of qualities when it comes to selling technology that requires expert advice. He understands the products and speaks the same language as the people who use them. He knows the region, has an extensive network of contacts and is genuinely enthusiastic about working directly with customers again. We continue to see enormous growth potential for GLP, particularly in eastern Germany. But that potential cannot be realised from a distance; you have to be present, listen and build trust. Michel has exactly the qualities needed to achieve that, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team, says Udo Künzler, Managing Director of GLP.
Malbranc's passion for music and technology also extends beyond his professional life. He plays bass, drums and guitar, and spends much of his free time immersed in event technology. He also enjoys sports and mountain biking as a way to unwind.
