Adamson Vergence: precision, power, and full coverage in a large-scale production

The Canadian debut of renowned dancehall artist Vybz Kartel served as the stage for a high-level deployment of the Adamson Vergence Group (VGt) system, supplied by Clair Global.

The setup showcased the capability of this large-format platform to deliver a balanced sonic response with power, clarity, and uniformity, even in venues of substantial size and high dynamic demand.

The project, led by systems engineer and crew chief Valdrian Sulejmani, featured mixing by Demetrius Moore and Aaron Booth. Overall system control was carried out through Adamson Gateway, allowing precise management of the array and subwoofer configuration while maintaining phase coherence across all audience zones.

The main configuration consisted of 21 VGt enclosures per side as the main system, accompanied by 32 E119 subwoofers per side in an end-fire configuration. For the sides, 15 VGt cabinets per side were installed, and covering the full 270°, an additional reinforcement of 16 CS10 per side was added. The front of the stage was covered with 8 CS10 units as front fills, while the side fills combined 3 S10n and 4 E119 per side, completing a system designed to ensure a continuous and tightly controlled sound field throughout the venue.

The integration between the mid-high modules and the end-fire subwoofers allowed for a linear response without low-frequency buildup. System management via Gateway enabled fine control of delays and phase filters, achieving an immediate sense of impact with stable tonal balance across the room.

The result was a powerful and precise sonic experience, with a clear and well-defined mix that preserved the dynamics of the repertoire without compromising intelligibility. Beyond the performance itself, the event highlighted the versatility of the Adamson Vergence Group system and its ability to adapt to large-scale productions where uniform coverage and tonal control are top priorities.
