Rigoberta Bandini has confirmed the effectiveness of the KSL system from d&b audiotechnik in arena-type venues of up to 18,000 spectators such as Palau Sant Jordi and Movistar Arena during her recent tour across Spain.
The d&b KSL is a medium-format modular line array system that ensures powerful, clear and uniform sound throughout the arena, with balanced tonality and minimal interference, delivering superior performance and directivity even compared to larger systems.
Optimal sound experience thanks to KSL’s precise audio and uniform coverage
During the Jesucrista Superstar Tour, Rigoberta Bandini relied on the KSL system, a large-format modular line array from the SL-Series, renowned for its innovative cardioid directivity, which directs the sound towards the audience, minimises interference on stage, and prevents it from spilling into areas of the venue where sound is not required.
This system combines high power and efficiency in a compact and versatile format, compared to its bigger sibling, the GSL. In Rigoberta’s shows, the KSL has been paired with flown subwoofers, which, together with the additional degrees of splay between cabinets, enables a precise and balanced sound design for both the audience and the musicians.
As confirmed by Rigoberta Bandini’s FOH Operator, Carlos del Valle: "I knew I wanted to tour with d&b audiotechnik because we were going to play arenas, and their directivity in the frequency range was essential. The tonality of the arrays makes your mix feel like a studio monitor: flat, with defined lows and pleasant highs, without the need for aggressive cuts. At first, I hesitated about using KSL in all venues, but its performance and tonality were perfect even in large arenas".
The design and implementation of the system for the concerts was supported by the technical advisory team from d&b audiotechnik Iberia, together with Fluge Audiovisuales, responsible for the installation and on-site supervision of the equipment.
Proven performance in large stadiums and festivals
Although there is a tendency in the market to opt for larger systems, the efficiency of KSL throughout this tour has confirmed that its performance is not limited by its size.
The system has delivered outstanding results even in high-capacity arenas and at some of the major festivals this season.
