Roig Arena in Valencia has selected d&b audiotechnik as its Operational Partner to equip the venue with a new permanent sound system that will enable it to confidently host an increasingly ambitious programme of concerts, sporting events and international shows.
The installation features d&b audiotechnik's SL, A and CL Series systems, and its versatility has already been demonstrated at two high-profile events: Valencia Basket’s second Liga title celebration and Rod Stewart’s concert on 30 June, the British artist’s only performance in Spain in 2026 and the first major international show to be held at the venue using d&b audiotechnik’s permanent solution.
Adaptive technology for every venue configuration
With a capacity of up to 20,000 people for concerts and more than 15,000 spectators for sporting events, Roig Arena is a highly versatile venue whose configuration changes depending on the type of event.
To meet these requirements, Roig Arena incorporates a combination of SL Series systems (GSL, KSL and XSL) together with AL90 and CCL, configured in this project as frontfill and delay systems respectively, reinforcing coverage both in the areas closest to the stage and those furthest away. The project features a main PA consisting of two SL Series L/R arrays with 12 GSL8 modules and two GSL12 modules per side, complemented by two KSL outfill arrays (10 KSL8 modules per side) and two XSL re-outfill arrays (8 XSL modules per side), ensuring uniform coverage throughout the venue.
Low-frequency reinforcement is provided by an SL-Sub system comprising two arrays of six units per side and six additional stacked subwoofer configurations. The system is completed by ten delay arrays equipped with CCLi8 loudspeakers for the furthest audience areas and 16 AL90 systems configured as frontfill/downfill to optimise coverage for the front rows and the areas closest to the stage.
Roig Arena was conceived from the outset with one clear objective: to deliver the best possible acoustic experience. To achieve this, we focused both on sound quality inside the venue and on acoustic isolation from the outside. A permanent system designed for a multifunctional venue
The d&b audiotechnik installation forms part of the venue’s permanent infrastructure and remains integrated into the roof structure when not in use. This reduces event preparation times, streamlines operations and maximises the flexibility of the space.
Coverage is further enhanced through ArrayProcessing, which adapts sound distribution to the venue’s specific configuration for each event. A bespoke rigging solution has enabled seamless system integration and rapid installation, minimising intervention time in a technically complex venue.

The installation also includes d&b audiotechnik’s latest-generation amplification, designed to deliver maximum performance with lower energy consumption.

Upcoming events include concerts by artists such as Pet Shop Boys, Chayanne, Judas Priest and Bryan Adams, as well as top-level sporting competitions including Project B, the new international travelling basketball league.
