The Navarrese electronic pop band Zetak performed two concerts at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao. Fluge Euskadi was responsible for the technical deployment of the production.
The radio frequency (RF) design was developed by Agustín Íñigo of Axis Audio, in collaboration with Josué Pascual, Zetak's RF technician, who was responsible for the technical operation and frequency coordination throughout the event.
From an RF management perspective, the production represented a major challenge. As the most ambitious show ever staged at San Mamés, attracting more than 40,000 spectators on each day, it required ensuring that the artist could move freely throughout multiple areas of the stadium without ever losing wireless microphone coverage or in-ear monitoring.
SeeSound, Wisycom's official distributor in Spain and Portugal, provided technical support for the RF system design for this unprecedented production at "The Cathedral" of football.
The RF systems behind the production
For this production, the objective was to ensure continuous RF coverage, allowing the artist to move freely between the stage, different seating areas, backstage and other parts of the stadium while maintaining uninterrupted wireless communication and reliable in-ear monitoring at all times.
To achieve this, the system was built around the MATF optical fibre RF matrix, which received signals from up to fourteen antennas distributed across seven coverage zones—four connected via optical fibre and three via coaxial cable—forming the core of the project's RF infrastructure.

Signal distribution between the different stadium zones was handled by the BFLT2 and BFLR2 converters, which transported the RF signals over optical fibre to the various locations throughout the venue.

The infrastructure was completed with the mechanised PFL case, designed to distribute the in-ear monitoring signal across three separate areas of the venue, ensuring continuous in-ear coverage regardless of where the artist was performing within the stadium.
MPR60 and MTK982 for the in-ear monitoring system
The lead artist used an in-ear monitoring system comprising the MTK982 transmitter and Wisycom's new MPR60 receiver. According to the project's technical team, the MPR60 stood out for its exceptional RF robustness, clear audio reproduction and precise stereo separation, all of which were key to maintaining stable monitoring while the artist moved throughout the stadium.
