Located in the Nantes commune of Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire, the former Papa Tango Club has been renovated by its owners, Evoe Group, and reopened under the name Moon Social Club.
As part of a major renovation and expansion to increase the venue’s capacity, technology specialists and Martin Audio partners Make It Event have installed a new state-of-the-art WPS line array system. The company has been working with the operators since 2018 and currently manages around 15 venues for the group.
The client has been a long-standing partner of Martin Audio, and several venues within the group are already equipped with systems from the British manufacturer. However, due to the specific characteristics of the new venue, the client chose to evaluate different audio solutions on site before making a final decision.

We wanted an installation capable of delivering high sound pressure levels while maintaining excellent audio quality, added a representative from Evoe Group.
Make It arranged several proof-of-concept tests, including systems from competing brands. However, the final choice went in favour of Martin Audio, thanks to the close collaboration between Make It and French distributor Algam Enterprise, who were able to deliver a solution with an excellent performance-to-price ratio. “Make It are also excellent ambassadors of the Martin Audio brand”, confirmed Alexandre Porte of Algam.
The sound system was designed by Benjamin Verneuil, Head of Integration at Make It Event. His solution consisted of eight WPS elements, flown in arrays of four per side on either side of the stage, following simulations carried out using the manufacturer’s DISPLAY prediction software. The line array is driven in 2-box resolution by two Dante-enabled Martin Audio iK42 multichannel amplifiers and one iK81, ensuring precise sound distribution and controlled coverage.

The main arrays are reinforced with a pair of CDD8 as sidefills to improve clarity and high-frequency coverage at the centre of the stage, along with four ceiling-mounted CDD12 units as additional delays, another pair of CDD12 on the sides to widen the sound field, and four powerful SXH218 subwoofers for low-frequency extension. These are arranged in an arc under the stage—a solution chosen both for practical reasons and overall coherence, as traditional stacking was not possible in this space.
However, the main stage is just one of five independent sound zones within the venue, all equipped with Martin Audio solutions. Elsewhere, a separate club room features a mini W8LM system (three elements per side) with a WMX subwoofer per side. Throughout the rest of the venue, two VIP rooms are each equipped with three wall-mounted CDD5, while at the entrance, guests are welcomed by discreet sound from four compact ACS-55TS two-way ceiling speakers. Finally, for those heading outdoors, a dedicated area is equipped with four Martin Audio AQ8 and an SX215 subwoofer.
The installation meets Evoe Group’s objective of creating a cutting-edge nightclub with a more contemporary feel, appealing to a younger audience.

According to a company representative: We wanted an installation capable of delivering high sound pressure levels while maintaining excellent audio quality. A line array system was therefore the natural choice, offering both power and consistency. This setup ensures optimal coverage throughout the club, with a full and impactful sound—not only on the dancefloor but also in all other areas. The generous ceiling height made it possible to install this type of system, complemented by dual 18-inch subwoofers to deliver deep and powerful bass.
