Umbra Light Festival will celebrate its fifth edition from 6 to 8 February 2026, filling the most emblematic spaces of Vitoria-Gasteiz with light, art, and technology.
Under the theme Light that unites, the festival will offer a route that connects people, generations, and cultures through light installations created by national and international artists.
Once again, SeeSound is participating as a sponsor of the festival, reaffirming its support for one of the most relevant light-art events in Spain. The company, the official distributor in Spain and Portugal of some of the leading brands in lighting and audiovisual technology, is collaborating once more with a project that combines innovation, culture, and citizen participation.
A festival with international recognition
Since its first edition in 2019, Umbra Light Festival has become a national and international benchmark in the field of Light Art. The last three editions have brought together more than 100,000 visitors, reaching hotel occupancy rates above 90%, a clear indicator of the strong cultural, tourist, and economic impact of the event on the city.

The 2026 route will once again connect iconic locations such as:
- Plaza de España
- Plaza de la Provincia
- Jardín de Falerina
- Santa María Cathedral
- Ensanche
- Medieval Quarter
In addition, the festival will extend its presence to neighbourhoods such as Lovaina, San Martín and El Anglo, reinforcing its inclusive nature and its connection with the entire city.
‘Light that unites’: the theme of the new edition
The works selected for this fifth edition will revolve around the idea of light as a connecting element: a universal language capable of building bridges and creating spaces for interaction.
Interactive installations, light sculptures, architectural projections, kinetic works, and creations based on new technologies will form part of a route that invites contemplation, dialogue, and reflection on contemporary themes such as:
- coexistence,
- the role of art in society,
- the cities of the future,
- sustainability and climate impact.

Commitment to culture and innovation
For SeeSound, being part of Umbra represents an opportunity to continue promoting innovation in the audiovisual sector and to support initiatives that position light as an artistic, technical, and emotional tool.
Umbra Light Festival is an example of the value of light to transform spaces and bring people together. We are proud to contribute to an event that showcases creativity, talent, and technology at the highest level, says José Luis Martínez, SeeSound's representative at the presentation event.
An experience for the whole city
The festival can be enjoyed free of charge from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February, from 19:00 to 23:00, with some installations opening from 16:30. In addition, Umbra is once again introducing its official APP, which will allow visitors to consult the interactive map, schedules, artwork locations, and all the information needed to plan their visit.
