In late April, the 17th edition of the International Music Summit launched Ibiza’s summer season with IMS Dalt Vila, once again transforming a UNESCO World Heritage Site into one of the most spectacular stages in electronic music.
The Shop Productions was responsible for the event’s full production and once again relied on Elation lighting technology to bring the show to life.
Set within the historic Dalt Vila district in Ibiza’s old town, this iconic venue hosted a world-class lineup featuring Pete Tong, Eliza Rose, Ahmed Spins, Ankhoi and a powerful closing performance by Faithless Sound System, in a night where music, culture and location came together seamlessly.
The Shop Productions: full-scale production delivery
From initial planning through to final execution, the The Shop Productions team managed all aspects of the build and technical production, working within one of Ibiza’s most complex and protected environments.
Dalt Vila is not a conventional venue, and producing an event at this level requires a precise balance between creative ambition and structural discipline. The stage and technical systems were designed to integrate naturally into the historic surroundings while providing an infrastructure capable of supporting world-class performances. Every element, from rigging and lighting to audio and show control, was executed with complete coordination, explains Simeon Friend, Founder and Owner of The Shop Productions, as well as Founder and Creative Director of the International Music Summit.
For IMS Dalt Vila 2026, The Shop selected a dedicated range of Elation lighting fixtures, chosen for their ability to deliver precision and high performance in an outdoor heritage environment. The equipment was supplied by AdagioPRO, Elation’s exclusive distributor in Spain.
Collaboration with lighting designer Nick Jevons
For the 2026 edition, The Shop Productions once again collaborated with lighting and visual designer Nick Jevons, continuing a long-established relationship with IMS Dalt Vila. With extensive experience across international stages, Jevons brought a structured approach to the lighting design, aligned with the event’s technical and production requirements.

His work translated the scale and energy of the artist lineup into a cohesive visual concept, supporting each performance while maintaining a unified identity throughout the programme. The result was a lighting design that integrated naturally into the production and enhanced the overall event experience.
Elation lighting system
The system was built around Rebel Profile fixtures, which provided a solid technical foundation thanks to CMY colour mixing, variable CTO, high CRI output and a comprehensive effects package including rotating and fixed gobos, prisms, frost and framing shutters, enabling precise beam control and layered stage textures.
The Rebel Profile fixtures formed the core of the design, allowing us to create highly defined aerial effects and shape the space with remarkable precision, even in an outdoor environment. Complementing the Rebels, the Proteus Radius fixtures added a new level of versatility and resilience. Their compact form factor and outdoor-ready design made them ideal for this application, while their powerful beams and fluid movement added energy perfectly synchronized with the music, says Jevons.
Used to extend the visual reach beyond the stage itself, the Proteus Radius fixtures generated long-throw aerial beams using laser-driven light sources, complemented by continuous 360° rotation, CMY colour control and effects such as prisms and gobos, creating architectural lighting structures across the Dalt Vila skyline.
"To strengthen the connection with the audience, we integrated the SŌL 1 Blinders, creating warm and immersive moments that brought artists and spectators closer together", continues Jevons. "Their intensity and smooth dimming curves allowed us to transition naturally from subtle atmospheres to powerful visual impacts".
Pulse Panel FX fixtures added a dynamic visual layer by combining high-intensity strobe effects, wash functions and continuous pan/tilt movement, creating constantly evolving stage compositions.
"Together, these fixtures formed a balanced system combining power, precision and atmosphere. The result was a vibrant, high-impact visual experience that elevated the performances and transformed the stage into a living extension of the music", concludes Jevons.
Production at the highest level
The event takes place within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and therefore operates under very specific conditions, where scale, timing and technical performance must come together flawlessly.
In an outdoor venue, lighting is fully exposed to weather conditions. The Rebel fixtures provided us with a reliable IP65-rated solution capable of performing in any environment while maintaining the level of quality and output required for an event such as IMS. It is also a highly cost-efficient solution, which further increases its value in a production of this scale. That is why we decided to invest in Elation Rebel fixtures as part of our full-production offering, explains Simeon Friend.
A cohesive visual language
IMS Dalt Vila remains one of the defining events on Ibiza’s cultural calendar, not only because of the quality of its artistic programme, but also because of the level of production excellence it demands.
What distinguished this year’s production was the way the fixtures worked together as a unified system. The precision of the Rebel Profiles, the movement of the Pulse Panels, the impact of the SŌL Blinders and the reach of the Proteus Radius fixtures combined to create a cohesive visual concept perfectly synchronized with the music.
