The new Infinity CHIMP G3 lighting consoles played a leading role at the 2026 edition of ParkCity Live, where lighting designer and technician Wesley Houben used the consoles to program and operate two different stage environments for the festival’s more than 35,000 visitors.
On 4 and 5 July at Park Bekkerveld in Heerlen, the Netherlands, ParkCity Live celebrated its tenth consecutive sold-out edition, featuring performances by Guus Meeuwis, BLØF, Davina Michelle, De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig and Paul Elstak.
Behind the scenes, Houben relied on the Infinity CHIMP G3 console to manage an extensive lighting rig supplied by SLF Group, covering both the festival’s high-energy dance area and its versatile main stage.

The two stages presented very different creative and technical requirements. While the dance area called for dynamic, pixel-heavy effects and large-scale beam projections, the main stage required the flexibility to accommodate multiple artists, guest technicians and changing production requirements throughout the weekend.
Despite the scale of the production and the large amount of equipment involved, the Infinity CHIMP G3 consoles handled both environments with ease.
The CHIMP G3 Ultra’s 65 universes gave me all the flexibility I needed and more. Its ease of use and programming space were also extremely helpful. There is more than enough room for everything you need, said Wesley Houben.
Two distinct creative worlds
In the dance area, the CHIMP G3 console controlled a system designed around movement, impact and pixel effects. Infinity Furion FX402 Bar, Furion W602 WashBeam and Furion H402 Hybrid fixtures worked alongside Showtec Spectra Strobe, Phantom 1220 Zoombar and Xpression 2000B Beam units to deliver dynamic visuals throughout the event.

The main stage presented a different challenge. Designed to accommodate a diverse line-up of artists while meeting the production needs of visiting teams, the stage featured Infinity Furion P402 Profile, Furion S602 Spot and Furion P602 Profile fixtures, iW-1941 RDM wash fixtures, Raccoon S250/4 Junior strobe/wash fixtures and Raccoon W40/4 units, complemented by Showtec
Stage Blinder FLEX Blaze Pod units. Together, these elements provided the flexibility required to create subtle architectural looks, high-impact moments for the audience and artist-specific visual identities throughout the festival weekend.
When designing the main stage, it is always important to accommodate the wishes of the visiting artists while still incorporating some subtle design elements, explained Houben.

One notable example came during Paul Elstak’s headline performance on Sunday night. With no dedicated touring lighting designer, Houben had the freedom to create a unique visual identity for the show, expanding the existing stage design with additional Infinity Furion P402 Profile fixtures to achieve a distinctive look that set the performance apart from the rest of the weekend.
User-friendly design
Beyond its processing power and universe capacity, the CHIMP G3 console also proved valuable in a festival environment where multiple technicians needed access to the system.
The guest lighting technicians working at the event were able to familiarise themselves with the console quickly, enabling them to work efficiently despite the limited preparation time before their performances. According to Houben, the intuitive workflow helped streamline operations on both stages and contributed to the smooth running of the weekend’s production.

Festival-proven
During ParkCity Live 2026, the Infinity CHIMP G3 console demonstrated its ability to handle large-scale festival productions, managing complex lighting systems while meeting the creative demands of both resident and guest technicians.
Combined with an extensive range of Infinity and Showtec equipment supplied by SLF Group, the CHIMP G3 console helped deliver two unique visual experiences and provided the flexibility, capacity and ease of use required for this popular music festival.
