Absen explores the synergy between human creativity and artificial intelligence at ISE 2025

Absen announced its collaboration with world-renowned media artist and director, Refik Anadol, during Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 on Booth 3N400.

The captivating digital art installation California Landscapes showcased a mesmerising experimentation of the Stable Diffusion model, which represented one of the most advanced technologies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) for image generation.

Refik Anadol was a trailblazer in the realm of data aesthetics and machine intelligence. He co-founded Refik Anadol Studio in Los Angeles and served as a faculty member at UCLA’s Department of Design Media Arts. Anadol’s work explored the synergy between human creativity and machine intelligence. By using data as his primary material and collaborating with the neural networks of computerised minds, Anadol created groundbreaking visualizations of digital memories, pushing the boundaries of interdisciplinary arts.

California Landscapes, which was shown on Absen’s booth at ISE 2025, used adaptive discriminator augmentation to generate synthetic images. From this process, the creative visualisation captured ‘hallucinations’ of the stunning landscapes of California in a multi-dimensional space.

To create these hallucinations, Anadol and his team gathered data from digital archives and publicly accessible sources, processing them using machine-learning classification models. Once the image selection was complete, the AI, when left inactive and unsupervised, created abstract landscapes, generating new aesthetic visuals, colour combinations, and unique lines formed by algorithmic connections.

The unmissable AI Data Painting was displayed on Absen’s largest MicroLED offering shown at ISE. Taking centre stage at an impressive 16.3 Million pixels, 4200 x 6075mm, Absen’s MicroLED wall was equipped with multiple advanced Absen image optimisation technologies, bringing visuals to life. It offered superior stability, reliability, and energy efficiency, making it the ideal canvas to present this incredible work of art. The series also featured advanced image optimisation technologies, including a 4x contrast boost, a 50% lower failure rate, and non-glare, non-reflective technology, ensuring exceptional and continuous visual clarity for stunning visuals.

We were delighted to showcase Refik Anadol’s groundbreaking work at ISE 2025. This collaboration exemplified the innovative potential of Absen’s LED display technology, transforming Refik’s visionary art into a fully immersive experience that pushed the boundaries of creativity and technology. We were eager to captivate visitors at our booth with this extraordinary feature and inspire them with what was possible when art and cutting-edge technology came together, explained Ruben Rengel, Executive Vice President at Absen.
