The Vision & Colour Music Festival (VAC), held on October 25 and 26 at the Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Resort complex in Zhuhai, Guangdong, became the chosen stage for the world premiere of the new Vergence Group Series by Adamson Systems Engineering.
Throughout its two days, VAC brought together a selection of internationally renowned artists, including Calvin Harris, Chris Lake, Illenium, Excision, and The Outlaw (DJ Snake’s alter ego). The festival is positioning itself as one of the emerging epicenters of electronic culture in China’s southern Greater Bay Area.
The technical challenge faced by the reinforcement team was considerable: maintaining a clear, powerful, and consistent sound in an open-air environment with thousands of attendees, changing weather conditions, and modular installations.
In this context, Real Music Acoustics and Lighting Technology chose to deploy Adamson’s VGt line arrays and VGs subwoofers to ensure cohesive sound pressure and coverage.
Adamson’s technology, including its patented midrange M140 compression drivers, enabled constant dispersion and uniform response from the stage to the last row of the audience. In large open spaces, SPL level uniformity and audio message integrity are critical factors — and in this case, they were successfully achieved thanks to the applied engineering.

The system design and optimization were led by Richie Wang (System Designer) and Liu Kaiji (System Engineer), together with the Real Music Acoustics team, using ArrayIntelligence 1.3 software for modeling, alignment, and real-time control.
The debut of the Vergence Group Series at VAC was an incredible experience. These new systems double the power and coverage, allowing the music to be felt with intensity throughout the entire venue, said Lee Stevens, APAC Sales Director at Adamson Systems Engineering.
