In Haguenau, north of Strasbourg in France’s Alsace region, the Mégarex leisure complex has long been a popular destination for family entertainment. The venue brings together under one roof a cinema, billiards tables, a bar, arcade games and a 16-lane bowling alley, attracting visitors from across the region.
With the aim of renewing the bowling experience, Mégarex set out to create a more dynamic and visually immersive environment.
To achieve this, the venue installed a striking 28-metre-wide LED display from INFiLED’s MV Series, spanning the entire length of the bowling area. Designed for fixed installations, the MV Series combines strong visual performance with durability and ease of maintenance, key factors in a high-traffic public space.
To deliver the project, Mégarex partnered with ADDE, a Lyon-based cinema equipment integrator, a family-run company widely recognised in France for its expertise in technology installations for cinema and entertainment. Under the leadership of its president, Marion Rosset, who has been with the company for more than two decades, ADDE brought extensive structural and integration experience to the project. The company also designed and manufactured the custom support structure for the LED wall in-house, drawing on one of its core strengths: an in-house fabrication workshop that develops bespoke mounting and integration solutions.

The client had several objectives with the renovation. Firstly, they wanted to enhance the excitement, pace and memorability of the user experience. They were also looking for a flexible space where the atmosphere could adapt depending on the time of day or type of event. And since they wanted this space to serve as a long-term marketing and branding tool, they needed the bowling alley to deliver a visually striking image for at least the next decade, explains Eric Le Cadre, Sales Director at ADDE.
Installing a 28-metre LED display in a public leisure environment presented several technical and logistical challenges. Structural planning was essential, particularly in a space where vibration and potential impact are constant factors. At the same time, the installation timeline needed to be short to minimise disruption for customers.
“To ensure the installation was both fast and safe, we made sure everything was thoroughly planned and coordinated”, adds Eric Le Cadre. “We needed to keep downtime to a minimum and ensure the LED panels were operational as quickly as possible. And, of course, without compromising safety”.
Working alongside the local INFiLED team and the Mégarex staff, ADDE completed the installation in just three days.
The display uses INFiLED MV Series LED panels, engineered to deliver reliability in demanding environments. They feature a robust aluminium frame that provides greater structural stability than traditional magnesium designs, helping the system withstand the vibrations typical of high-traffic leisure spaces.

High brightness, high refresh rates and strong contrast ensure clear visuals regardless of lighting conditions within the bowling area. Combined with a high pixel density delivering nearly 8K resolution across the 28-metre canvas, the display provides crisp graphics and text visible from the far end of each lane.
For players looking down the full 25-metre length of each lane, the result is a detailed image that remains sharp even at long distances.
Installing a screen of this size safely in such a busy public space required close coordination between ADDE and the client. We are very proud of the final outcome of the project, adds Marion Rosset.
Since its installation, the LED wall has become a key visual feature of the bowling area, creating an immersive environment that sets Mégarex apart from more traditional venues. It also allows content to be adapted throughout the day, from family-oriented visuals to more dynamic content for evening events and promotions.
For visitors, the result is a bowling experience surrounded by a dynamic digital environment that completely transforms the atmosphere of the space.
