Tasker has added three new models to its Classic series of professional cables, featured in Catalogue No. 5 of audio, video and broadcast accessories, with availability expected for immediate delivery.
This update addresses the need for robust and versatile cabling solutions, suitable for both studio environments and live installations. The new cables are manufactured with oxygen-free copper (O.F.C.) conductors, ensuring minimal signal loss and excellent mechanical durability.
First, the TKD333, TKD336, TKD339 and TKD3312 cables offer a design specifically for DMX signals, employing a 110 Ω TSK1038 braided shield and a 2 × 0.35 mm² conductor. They are equipped with Tasker connectors with impact-resistant thermoplastic bodies — 3-pin male XLR (SPM3XLR) and 3-pin female XLR (SPF3XLR) — and are produced in lengths of 3, 6, 9 and 12 meters. This configuration is ideal for lighting technicians who require reliability and robustness in their setups.
Meanwhile, the NKD553, NKD556, NKD559 and NKD5512 models are also designed for DMX but use a 110 Ω C862 PVC braided shield with 2 × 2 × 0.35 mm² conductors. In this case, Neutrik connectors have been chosen, known for their metal and impact-resistant bodies: 5-pin male XLR (NC5MXX) and 5-pin female XLR (NC5FXX). These versions, available in the same lengths (3, 6, 9 and 12 m), offer a high-precision alternative for installations demanding a higher level of connectivity.
Finally, the 2RFA536, 2RFA539 and 2RFA5312 cables expand the offering with a speaker power line. Constructed with an extra-flexible C282 speaker cable of 8 × 4.00 mm² and fitted with Neutrik NL4FXX-W-L connectors (4-pole speakON, 37 A) on both ends, these cables are available in lengths of 6, 9 and 12 m. Thanks to their flexible design and the solidity of the speakON connectors, they facilitate setup and teardown at live events and on tours.
The expansion of the Classic series strengthens Tasker’s catalogue with proposals that combine durability, signal quality and versatility of use.
