The new jewel from Adamson debuted at Palm Expo 2025

Adamson was represented by its local distributor, StageMix, at Palm Expo 2025, held in Mumbai, India, from May 29 to 31. During the expo, StageMix showcased for the first time in the country the new VGt large-format line array loudspeaker series, the first model launched under Adamson’s newly created Vergence Group. This launch marked a milestone for the Canadian brand in its quest to consolidate itself as an international benchmark in high-scale sound reinforcement solutions.

India represented a vibrant and rapidly growing market for Adamson, particularly in the live concert and large-scale event sector. “We were delighted to introduce the VGt at Palm Expo,” noted Pieter van Hoogdalem, business development strategist at Adamson. “StageMix presented a wide range of Adamson solutions, but the spotlight was on the VGt and its potential for large events and high-capacity venues.”

The VGt was a high-performance, large-format line array loudspeaker that integrated eight transducers, amplification, a networked DSP endpoint, and Autolock rigging hardware in a lightweight, compact design. Its M140 MF compression drivers incorporated cutting-edge technologies that redefined midband quality—a key factor in ensuring intelligibility and impact in large venues. The VGt delivered consistent 90° horizontal coverage across its frequency range, achieving impressive sound pressure levels with ultra-low distortion, essential features for the most demanding sound engineers.

“India experienced exponential growth in the live music and touring sectors, positioning itself ahead of other Asian countries,” said Karan Nagpal, co-owner of StageMix. “The VGt marked a turning point: its audio resolution, especially in the vocals, exceeded expectations thanks to the Kevlar M140 compression drivers. Moreover, the system’s ability to send and receive signals via AVB added exceptional flexibility and signal redundancy—crucial for large-scale events. We can’t wait to hear the VGt in action at upcoming tours and festivals in India.”

Adamson’s presence at Palm Expo 2025 not only served to introduce its new product but also to strengthen its position in the Indian market, where the growth of the live events and international touring sectors has created a strong demand for high-quality audio solutions. Adamson’s reputation as a manufacturer of reference audio systems, coupled with StageMix’s local support, positioned the brand as an ideal strategic partner for production companies seeking power, reliability, and uncompromising sound quality.
