Hybrid hoses with multiple LAN, balanced, and extra flexible covering are now available, as presented at ISE 2024. These hoses are manufactured using an extremely flexible type of PVC, making them very manageable and pleasant to the touch, ideal for audio and lighting control applications.
Thanks to their high flexibility and versatility, these cables are ideal for working with multiple LAN signals in audio/lighting applications, balanced DMX 110Ω signals, and power supply in the same cable.
Emelec VíasCom recommends their use with Dante® protocols (Digital Audio via Ethernet), Art-Net (DMX via Ethernet), AES/EBU (balanced digital audio), and DMX512 (lighting control), capable of transmitting signals up to 90 meters in length.
In total, there are 7 new hybrid hoses, each internally composed of a mixture of three cable types: LAN CAT6 S/FTP, Balanced Digital DMX 110Ω, and Power Supply 3x2.50 mm², structured as follows:

- Q16-6014 – 4 x LAN CAT6 S/FTP
- Q16-6020 – LAN CAT6 S/FTP + Power Supply 1 x 3 x 2.50mm²

All internal cables, LAN CAT6 S/FTP, DMX 110, and the 3x2.50 mm² power cable are constructed in the same way in each of the seven hybrid hoses presented, with the following characteristics:
LAN CAT6 S/FTP cable characteristics
- Category 6 Cable with 23AWG single-wire conductors.
- 0.53 mm diameter conductors made of Polished BC Copper with 99.95% purity.
- Double shielding with 100% coverage thanks to an Aluminum foil and a global braid of tinned TC copper.
- Very flexible PVC covering of Ø6.30 mm in black color, numbered when the hose contains more than one.
- Appropriate connectors: EQ9310 (RJ45 with XLR-type body), CL512 (RJ45), CL016, and CL516 (RJ45 Toolless).
Balanced DMX 110Ω cable characteristics
- Digital balanced cable with two conductors of 2 x 0.25 mm² section.
- Fine filastic with threads of 32/0.10 mm diameter made of Polished BC Copper with 99.95% purity.
- Double shielding with 100% coverage thanks to an Aluminum foil and a global braid of tinned TC copper.
- Very flexible PVC covering of Ø6.00 mm in black color, numbered when the hose contains more than one.
Power Supply 3 x 2.50 mm² cable characteristics
- 3 conductors cable of 2.50 mm² section within a PVC covering.
- Stranded with threads of 80/0.20 mm diameter made of Polished BC Copper with 99.95% purity.
- Very flexible PVC covering of Ø10.00 mm in black color.
- Hose composed of 2 x LAN CAT6 S/FTP.
- Extremely flexible PVC covering with Ø 17.00 mm.
- Optimal performance in lengths up to 90 meters.
- Customized cutting presentation according to each customer's needs.
